It seems like every week there is a new brewery popping up here in Charlotte. Although it could feel like over abundance of options. When the news that Burial was coming here, It got more attention than the usual. That’s because Asheville base burial beer Co is ranked number one brewery in the country time and time again. It’s location in Plaza Midwood with a roof top deck and a well designed lower interior. Space, really invite you to come and stay a while. For those fans of the brewery, you can go towards the end and pick up your own pack and or had hoodie or a T-shirt.

The lay back vibe is something we can all use. After work beers, catching up with friends cause life has been hectic, NoDa Company store is the place to go. With it’s various electic outdoor seating options, you can’t but help to relax. Living in NoDa comes with alot of perks and the Company store is one of them

Although I wouldn’t call myself a runner, curiosity tends to lead me in finding new things. Today, I was walking around Southend when Allbirds caught my curiousity. Mainly it was how miniamlistic the space was. With it being on the corner of the building, you had natual light pouring it from its floor to ceiling windows. Allbirds is a national brand that focuses on performance running as well as business casual shoes. With a number of retail locations across the U.S, Charlotte’s location is one of it’s newest additions.

Coffee. Coffee. Coffee. A necessity if we’re honest, I tried a 30 day challenge with that YEARS ago and it torture. As a novelty chaser, I find myself always looking for new environments to spark creativity or productivity and Not Just Coffee Atherton Mill is one those go spots. Built around the Historic Atherton Mill, it exists in a main hallway; its as open concept as it comes. Once you walk in you’ll notice the exposed brick, industiral ceiling, and a sense of over all welcoming energy. If you’re ever in need of that afternoon pick me up. This is a good options

Day 1: Seoul Food Meat Company Mill District

Seoul food meat company has grown to be a staple here in Charlotte. Fun fact: it was actually one of the first places I ate with friends when I moved to Charlotte back in the fall of 2019. With its rising popularity and the growth of the city itself, they decided to expand to a second location in the newly developing neighborhood of Villa Heights in the Mill District. Not only can you join your friends for a bite to eat but you can turn it into a long afternoon or evening of fun. From its various karaoke rooms to its foot soccer tables, and various other unique games. There is something for everyone. With plenty of seating outside, there is also a dog park, a water feature, and even a playground. So it’s hard to classify this location as just a restaurant because it’s so much more.
Latest Project: The Drop off. Kansei X Wheelprice
Once again, Its time to get the team together for another Kansei Wheels project.
For the last 2 years we’ve helped our good friends over at Kansei with producing content for their social channels and various platforms. This time around we were trusted with helping launch a brand new wheel size and bolt pattern.
When Sempek reached to us, he was looking for a street-styled EG or EF civic to use as the main car for the project. After thinking for a second, It was a no-brainer; Kirk from Wheelprice! The guys over at Wheelprice have been good friends here in Charlotte for a good while now and this would be a great opportunity to make an introduction.
Once I made the call and gave them the run down, they were more than down and we got to the drawing board. When it comes to a team, it’s always fun to work with your friends so as always I went to my go-to, Scott aka Funkymac. We’d been shooting together long before we both moved to Charlotte. To help assist us, we got Dylon who’s usually the subject matter when it comes to a Kansei Project
From time to time, we are faced with interesting challenges when shooting and this was one of them. Why? One might ask. It’s due to the fact that it’s a white car with black wheels and on sunny days it can be difficult to highlight the wheel and the car. Our only hope was to pray to the weather gods for an overcast day. It looked like our prayers were answered because on shoot day it was perfect!
